We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the network that powers the world’s largest edge services. For this position, the candidate should be familiar with network protocols, network devices including network interface cards, switches, and routers. You should feel comfortable working with large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the implementation of new and upgraded data center network with standard platform on network/server technologies carried out in compliance with best practices.

• Handle project from design to implementation.

• Collaborate with internal business units and stakeholders and understand the requirements to deliver efficiently.

• Automate repetitive tasks to reduce implementation time and avoid failure due to human error.

• Participate in periodic on-call rotation for network incident support, quickly mitigate impact and restore service availability through a software enabled toolset.

• Evangelize best network engineering practices and processes within and across teams.

• Troubleshoot live site issues to discover and drive solutions with minimal or no disruption to customers. Perform testing and validation of network devices, and demonstrate some knowledge of data. Provide instructions to the data center on how to repair and maintain physical network hardware, and take notes during incidents.

• Participate in postmortem and root-cause analysis processes to continuously improve network reliability. Support innovation and cost management by developing new ideas for systems and tools that meet customer and/or business needs. Proactively share information across disciplines within your feature team in a timely manner with an appropriate level of detail that is tailored to your audience. Provide feedback and some mentorship to other engineers, while also proactively seeking mentorship and feedback from others.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in Data center networking

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related field

• Ability to engage in site-reliability engineering practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on expertise in operating and managing Cloud Platforms and Kubernetes.

• Experience with Linux systems administration, package management, and operations.

• Any CCNA, CCIE, Azure Certifications

• Any one scripting language or programming language like C#, python, Go

• Understanding of switches, routers, firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ISIS, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, LACP, MPLS, dual-stack (IPv4 & IPv6) IP addressing, and IP network design.

• Deep understanding of Networking fundamentals and knowledge of platforms such high-end ASR routing platforms and Nexus switching platforms

• Knowledge of Ethernet, fiber optics, 802.1Q VLANs, VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding), IPSEC (Internet Protocol Security), ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure), and VxLAN (Virtual Extensible LAN).

• Strong analysis and communication experience including customer critical issues and resolution.

• Use of networking tools including packet analyzers such as Wireshark, Thousand Eyes and Solarwinds.

• A bias towards action to identify the best approach.

• Handle networking feature from design to implementation.
