Wells Fargo Senior Technology Business Systems Consultant in Hyderabad, India

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Technology Business System consultant within the Payments Command Center team:

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in providing technology initiatives for simple to moderately complex business problems within technology business systems

  • Contribute to the development of systems and procedures that are both cost effective and meet the relevant business requirements

  • Evaluate moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of planning and direction conducted to resolve complex business problems

  • Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate moderately complex business problems and lead a team to provide comprehensive technological solutions

  • Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition or improvement to re-engineer technical processes

  • Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to evaluate and resolve issues in order to provide technological solutions and manage both project schedules and deliverables

  • Coordinate communication and information flow between business and technology teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Graduate / Post-Graduate with minimum of 4+ years of experience in Payment Operations, Incident management, Production Support or Information Technology or equivalent knowledge of payments and payment technology.

  • Experience standing up new 24 x 7 functions or organizations highly preferred.

Job Expectations:

  • The Payments Command Center (PCC) is a new organization comprised of 2 sites responsible for supporting payment processing operations groups and, through them, our customers and businesses by: monitoring of WF’s end-to-end payment flows; management of alerts; and centralized & structured issue communication.

  • PCC sites operate 24x7x365 include remote managerial responsibilities across multiple time zones, including on-call responsibility for critical issues that impact the payment ecosystem.

  • The PCC will work across all WF LOBs and Payments Technology teams to provide the above support for all Payment rails (e.g. Wire, ACH, RTP, etc) and origination channels (e.g. Lockbox, CEO, Payment Mgr, etc)

Delivery:

  • Support the PCC Lead to execute the strategic vision and target operating model for the PCC and actively work on continuous improvement that is grounded by solid change management practices to mitigate risk.

  • Maintain and provide support in a 24x7 model for the most complex and broad technological business solutions which have direct and significant impact on Wells Fargo’s strategic payments objectives.

  • Provide first response resolution capability of operational issues.

  • Facilitate communications to internal partner groups, management and other interested parties regarding overall payment system status, volumes, health and issues/incidents.

  • “Eyes on Glass” approach for daily monitoring of tasks, Links, Application queues, File transmission and any other critical business event.

  • Maintain active communication and ingrain BEST ESCALATION practices for self and team through all layers and business lines of the organization to match the criticality of the issue.

  • Proven ability to assimilate and correlate issues and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and for awareness

  • Ability to document, present, and discuss information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels.

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Establish and maintain working partnerships with teams that the PCC supports and must work successfully alongside in daily execution of duties.

  • Hands on with capturing and providing historical, current and/or forecasted payment volumes and dollar values, including for scheduled and future-dated payments, and payment/dollar impacts for specific issues or payment incident events.

  • Eyes on glass in providing the status of critical payment systems needed for the payments ecosystem, along with the capacity and performance of the systems against their SLAs. Also, monitor and report recent and upcoming system release

  • Should be well versed with Payment/Trade life cycle and be able to provide insights and analysis into current and forecasted payment activities with a view of enhancing STP AND PUSH FOR SEAMLESS E2E PROCESSING of the lifecycle, provide pain points and impacts as if pertaining to specific issues or payment.

  • Manage site-specific team/shift leads and individual contributors including leadership of related performance management and succession planning initiatives and cadences practiced across the enterprise

  • Interact with the team on daily basis, conduct monthly one-on-one meetings.

  • To ensure timely identification of training/developmental needs to build the future ready team.

  • Performance management, conduct appraisals, complete action plans for overall people development.

  • Maintain a harmonious relationship with global stakeholders, effectively syndicating on relevant issues, influencing to arrive at right decisions

  • Interact and communicate with the business partners / requestors on regular basis to help them manage their expectations

Risk & Controls Mindset:

  • Ensure operational practices are in compliance with relevant risk standards, policies and regulations to maintain an effective control environment Responsible for Business Continuity, Breaches/Incidents and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure updating of SOPs/ Issue Logs/ Exception Logs.

  • Ensure that the Daily Checklist is signed off and filed correctly.

  • Ensure effective Quality Check process in place.

  • Perform and implement monthly/Quarterly/Annual, control checks/self-assessment to avoid any leakages and gaps.
