Amazon Finance Technology (FinTech) invites talented engineers to shape the future of financial systems. We build highly scalable, next-generation platforms utilizing Amazon Cloud, ML, and GenAI technologies. Our Fintech Compliance and Automation Systems team seeks a Sr. Software Development Engineer to join our innovative group. We develop advanced solutions that enhance compliance, increase accuracy, and streamline Amazon's global financial operations.

In this role, you'll set the pace for FinTech innovation. You'll work on diverse projects, from enhancing current systems to designing adaptable architectures for Amazon's evolving business landscape. We solve complex financial challenges by leveraging ML/GenAI and Native AWS technologies. Key job responsibilities

• Define and execute the team's long-term technical strategy and roadmap.

• Architect, design, implement, and deploy large-scale, complex services.

• Innovate and simplify complex challenges to enhance your design and architectural skills.

• Lead the development of machine learning and Generative AI-powered solutions.

• Integrate our solutions with Amazon's finance and other systems through cross-functional collaboration.

• Plan, design, execute, and implement new services with Amazon engineering and business teams globally.

• Communicate effectively in verbal and written formats, delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

• Collaborate directly with Senior Software Development Engineers (SDEs), Principal Engineers, Technical Program Managers, Product Managers, and customers to understand requirements and implement software solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
