Our WW Brand Protection Business Operations (BPBO) programs focus on building trust with brands by accurately representing and completely protecting their intellectual property from infringement. We work with teams on setting up and scaling business processes that are ambiguous, complex and require high judgement with an aim to drive process improvement and innovation. We represent voice of the customer/brand/seller and use operational rigor to improve the business proposition; recommending policy improvements, defect elimination, help build ML models, and process automation.

We are looking for a high judgement Senior Program Manager who enjoys working on challenging, high impact business problems. As a Senior Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic initiatives and programs, ensuring successful execution, and contributing to the overall growth and success of our organization. It requires managing a team of risk manager and partnering with business owners, and tech teams to define strategy, requirements, and align on goals for this program. This role will own resolving roadblocks for the team, provide escalation management, own regular communication with leadership (including program updates), make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs within constraints.

Problem-solving, cross-team coordination, program management, executive communication, and organizational skills are essential to be successful in this role.

Key job responsibilities:

  1. Own and communicate strategic vision, updates, goals, policy changes and roadmap to stakeholders and senior leaders. Routinely author documents: PRFAQ’s, Working Backwards, BRD’s, WBR’s/MBR’s/QBR’s, Program Updates etc.

  2. Operate with a high degree of independence. This role requires a curious, self-starting, fast learner who thrives in ambiguous, challenging spaces.

  3. Encourage team members to use tech and automation to solve business problems at scale, encourage pilots using ML models and then build complete solutions along with Tech Teams.

  4. Extensively build trust with cross-organizational stakeholders. Use data to influence without authority and drive consensus at all levels of an organization.

  5. Partnering with business and legal teams to handle brand specific escalations and create escalation management in the team to provide timely inputs to partner teams and reduce churn within the teams

  6. Partner with partner teams to onboard and launch new programs – including creating and refining SOPs, establishing quality checks and reporting mechanisms.

  7. Set and achieve challenging goals to solve problems. Drive efficiency improvements by eliminating non-value add processes and introducing automation to maximize impact.

  8. Expertly quantify impact with best-in-class analytics and investigation techniques. Advanced Excel skills are a minimum expectation (Advanced SQL is a plus).

  9. Generate program insights and share recommendations with product/tech team to streamline processes. For example, how Seller are creating infringing ASINs and circumventing the automated rules.

  10. People management i.e., performance appraisals, goal setting, training and mentoring talent to grow within organization & control attrition and create FLPs for individuals in the team

  11. Drive key organizational initiatives across hiring, training, mentoring, employee engagement, rewards/recognition and performance management.

A day in the life

  1. Judiciously add, refine, and remove procedures. By applying management best practices, you increase the productivity and effectiveness of the teams members.

  2. You actively participate in the hiring process as well as mentor others - improving their skills and ability to get things done.

  3. Manage complex initiatives, delivering critical solutions, significant improvements, new mechanisms, or deprecating processes that are no longer needed. These efforts require you to work with multiple teams in and/or across organizations.

  4. Accountable for the overall strategy of a large program. You successfully manage all stages (from concept to delivery). Your program meets challenging business goals and/or shows measurable improvements in your customer’s experience, business or employee efficiency or execution, compliance adherence, financial or other metrics, etc.

  5. Understand the interdependencies of the business problems you help solve (e.g., aligned workflows, customer requirements, process limitations, legal or compliance requirements, program support, etc.).

  6. Influence team priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions. You are able to make a case for project priorities, resource allocation, and/or appropriate program adoption, to achieve a desired business outcome, resolve a deficiency, or unblock delivery.

  7. Communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including Directors and VPs. You foster a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues (build consensus). You partner successfully with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.

  8. Routinely and efficiently deliver the right things. You define clear goals and objectives. You drive crisp decisions in your program area about what projects move forward and in what priority order. You proactively identify risks and bring them to the attention of your team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks.

About the team

Our WW Brand Protection Business Operations (BPBO) programs focus on building trust with brands by accurately representing and completely protecting their intellectual property from infringement. We work with WW teams on setting up and scaling business processes that are ambiguous, complex and require high judgement with an aim to drive process improvement and innovation. We represent voice of the customer/brand/seller and use operational rigor to improve the business proposition; recommending policy improvements, defect elimination, help build ML models, and process automation. We have in-house specialized teams like workforce management (WFM), Capacity Planning (CP), Centralized Quality, Training and ACES team who partner with operations to uphold the right level of quality, provide standard work with lower costs and staying efficient.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of cross functional project delivery experience

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Experience managing teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Master's degree
