Sanofi Business Operations (SBO) is an internal Sanofi resource organization based in India and is setup to centralize processes and activities to support Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines, CHC, CMO, and R&D, Data & Digital functions . SBO strives to be a strategic and functional partner for tactical deliveries to Medical, HEVA, and Commercial organizations in Sanofi, globally.

The overall purpose and main responsibilities are listed below:

  • Within our commercial Insights, Analytics, and Data organization we are transforming to better power decision-making across our end-to-end commercialization process, from business development to late lifecycle management.

  • Forecasting and analytics deliverables support planning and decision making across multiple functional areas such as finance, manufacturing, product development and commercial.

  • In addition to ensuring high-quality deliverables, our team drives synergies across the franchise, fosters innovation and best practices, and creates solutions to bring speed, scale and shareability to our planning processes. As we endeavour, we are seeking a dynamic talent for the role of “Senior Analyst – Forecasting & Analytics”

  • It is essential to have someone who understands and aspires to implement innovative analytics techniques to drive our insights generation across different functions.

  • He/she will ensure on time and accurate delivery of all analytics and dashboard requirement by collaborating with relevant stakeholders.

  • He/she will ensure dashboards and adhoc reports are maintained as per requirements and are delivered in timely manner.

  • People:

  • Maintain effective relationship with the stakeholders (Country & Cross border Teams) within or cross GBUs and tasks – with an end objective to develop educational and communication content as per requirement.

  • Actively lead and develop SBO operations associates and ensure innovative technologies are leveraged.

  • Initiate the contracting process and related documents within defined timelines; and

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders for project planning and setting up the timelines and maintaining budget.

  • Performance:

  • Collaborate with US forecasting and cross-functional partners to develop, document, and communicate accurate long-term patient / volume / revenue forecasts for annual Strategic Planning & Budget cycles.

  • Collaborate with US Forecasting forecasters in forecast cycle planning to promote harmonization across Vaccines franchises.

  • Support model enhancements to ensure forecasts for in-line & launch products reflect strategic direction of each brand (e.g., patient flow, etc.)

  • When necessary, use resources such as analogue analyses & external forecasts (e.g., syndicated / analyst reports) to pressure-test assumptions.

  • Develop forecast scenarios to quantify potential risks & opportunities.

  • Work with US & Global forecasting to ensure that US deliverables align to Global guidance and properly integrate with Global forecast aggregation process.

  • Provide monthly updates to US Forecasting and Brand members on performance and near-term forecast outlook, integrating latest actuals, analytics, etc.

  • In partnership with Analytics & Finance colleagues, provide key end-of-month closing deliverables (i.e., price / volume & demand / inventory analyses)

  • Collaborate with US Forecasting & Finance team to revise near-term forecast, accounting for latest actuals & emerging market opportunities / threats.

  • Work with Finance and Demand Planning to ensure the most appropriate forecast (by SKU) is delivered for monthly supply chain planning activities.

  • Design, conduct, and communicate ad-hoc analyses that leverage forecast models to answer key business questions, e.g., co-promotion potential or ROI analysis.

  • Collaborate with Data Management, Analytics, and external data providers to conduct periodic reviews of key model inputs to ensure forecast accuracy.

  • Refresh Existing Reports and identifies improvement opportunities in reporting and BI tools and as needed structure / functionality with the latest insights as they become available.

  • Collaborate with Digital teams to enhance data access across various sources, develop tools, technology, and process to constantly improve quality and productivity.

  • Create robust forecast models and dashboards taking into consideration key data, insights, trends, and assumptions around patient flow, market dynamics, competitive landscape, payer mix, supply chain inventory fluctuation, etc.

  • Evaluate and maintain existing forecast models; identify and prioritize areas for improvement to iteratively improve function over time.

  • Refresh forecast model assumptions and as needed structure / functionality with the latest insights as they become available.

  • Process:

  • Identify and interpret business needs, analyse, and prioritize the requirements, write functional specifications, design, and analyse data, identify gaps, and provide business requirements and expectations feedback.

  • Support delivery of projects in terms of resourcing, coordination, quality, timeliness, efficiency, and high technical standards for deliveries made by the business teams.

  • Secure adherence to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with all applicable standards

  • Refresh report on frequency/cycle basis (weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually), along with QC checks for each refresh

  • Use latest tools/technologies/methodologies and partner with internal teams to provide support on all sort of regular and ad hoc business analytics activities like build, maintenance, and enhancements of such systems.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally, gather requirements, analyse data, and generate insights and reports that can be used by the GBU.

  • Support delivery of projects in terms of resourcing, coordination, quality, timeliness, efficiency, and high technical standards for deliveries made by the business teams.

  • Stakeholder:

  • Work closely with US and global teams and/ external vendors to ensure the end-to-end effective project delivery of the designated deliverables.

About you

  • Experience : 4 + years of experience in pharmaceutical product commercial forecasting and analytics. In-depth knowledge of common databases like IQVIA-DDD, Engagement and execution data.

  • Soft skills: Strong learning agility; Ability to manage ambiguous environments, and to adapt to changing needs of the business; Good interpersonal and communication skills; strong presentation skills a must; Team player who is curious, dynamic, result oriented and can work collaboratively; Ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment; Ability to operate effectively in an international matrix environment, with ability to work across time zones; Demonstrated leadership and management in driving innovation and automation leveraging advanced statistical and analytical techniques; High ethical standards and integrity

  • Technical skills :

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, with experience in forecasting libraries and packages.

  • Exp erience of developing and managing dashboards

  • Exp erience with pharmaceutical data and business terms

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Suites – Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, predictive modeling, and time series forecasting models (e.g., ARIMA, SARIMA, Prophet, etc.).

  • Exp erience of using analytical tools like Power BI, Qliksense, Tableau

  • Project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Autonomous, proactive, and strong interpersonal skills

  • An aptitude for problem solving and strategic thinking.

  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated leadership and management in driving innovation and automation leveraging advanced statistical and analytical techniques.

  • Hard working, driven, results-oriented and focused on success.

  • Education : Advanced degree in areas such as Management/Statistics/Decision Sciences/Engineering/Life Sciences/ Business Analytics or related field (e.g., PhD / MBA / Masters)

  • Languages : Excellent knowledge in English and strong communication skills – written and spoken
