What you will do

The SAFe Tools and Accelerator Specialist delivers reusable products, data management, innovations and support that enables the adoption and maturity of Scaled Agile delivery methodology at all levels of the organization. This role is in charge of configuring, operating and helping Product delivery teams across the enterprise to effectively leverage platforms such as Jira, Confluence, Jira Align and Generative AI productivity automation. The specialist is a member of the SAFe Enablement team that is responsible for delivering accelerators across biotechnology product teams, driving a culture of continuous innovation across the enterprise, and enabling effective Agile governance and measurement.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Jira Configuration and Maintenance: Set up and configure Jira projects, workflows, boards, and dashboards to align with SAFe practices. Manage user permissions and roles to ensure appropriate access and security. Customize issue types, screens, and fields to meet the specific needs of agile teams.

  • Workflow Management: Design, implement, and maintain complex Jira workflows, screen schemes, and notification schemes. Ensure workflows support SAFe principles, such as alignment, built-in quality, and transparency.

  • System Upgrades and Integrations: Perform regular system upgrades and troubleshoot issues to maintain system efficiency. Integrate Jira with other tools and platforms used in the organization, ensuring seamless data flow and collaboration.

  • Support and Training: Provide training and support to users on Jira standard methodologies and new features. Develop and maintain documentation for Jira processes and configurations.

  • Experience with Other Atlassian Tools: Install, configure, and manage Jira plugins to extend functionality and improve user experience. Evaluate and recommend new plugins that can enhance productivity and support SAFe practices1.

  • Confluence: Administer Confluence spaces, ensuring they are structured to support collaboration and knowledge sharing. Integrate Confluence with Jira to provide comprehensive project documentation and reporting.

  • Provide support on SAFe adoption strategies, development of new accelerators for teams across the organization and training.

  • Conduct issue identification, resolution, and continuous improvement of SAFe adoption.

  • Continuous improvement of data architecture and tech debt rationalization.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

  • Atlassian tools configuration, development, integration, operations and support experience

  • Ability to work within a SAFe Product Team to deliver new enterprise enablers and accelerators.

  • Strong JQL skills

  • Experience with Confluence-to-Confluence and Jira-to-Jira migrations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile Scrum experience

  • Experience with visualization tools – Jira Align, Tableau, Smartsheet

  • Experience with software delivery and product

Education and Professional Certifications

  • Master’s degree and 1 to 3 years experience in Atlassian tools configuration, development, integration, operations and support OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of experience in Atlassian tools configuration, development, integration, operations and support OR

  • Diploma and 7 to 9 years of experience in Atlassian tools configuration, development, integration, operations and support OR

  • Atlassian product administration - mandatory

Soft Skills:

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to minimize disruption

  • Communication: Strong communication skills to liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt tool configurations as organizational needs evolve
