The Identity & Security PM team in E+D drives security and authentication product experiences across Microsoft’s productivity ecosystem – both critically important and interwoven areas that are foundational to customer trust. From seamless sign-in and account management to security features and threat defenses, we protect the identities, devices, and data of over a billion users monthly, delivering innovation and modernization on an incredible scale.
Microsoft runs on trust. Product Manager II will shape the vision and roadmap for trustworthy product experiences and functionality in Office related to Identity, Security and Privacy. You’ll develop product strategies and plans for secure, consistent investments to materially reduce attack surface in our products while being privacy compliant – all at the same time. For example, you will build security capabilities to help the customer discover, classify, and protect sensitive information where it lives or as it travels across different platforms, such as desktop, mobile, and web. This includes Classification, Labeling, and Protection (CLP), security policies, document encryption, Information Right Management (IRM), and Data Loss Prevention.
You’ll work with engineers dedicated to these areas in SPICE and with partner teams across OPG and beyond to turn your strategic vision into measurable results and protect our customers! A successful product manager in this role considers both the big picture and the minute details thoughtfully.

Responsibilities
Engage directly with internal and external customers, and partners to deeply understand unmet product needs
Lead with hypothesis-driven product development methods and data-driven decision making,
Formulate value proposition, outcomes, and key metrics that define and generate excitement around your plans and allow you to measure success
Translate the big picture into detailed and effective product roadmaps & technical designs that strengthen the broader Microsoft identity and security strategy
Bring a positive, motivational tone and energy to the team and partner conversations
Communicate clearly and effectively about your plans, rationale, and status to internal partners, engineering teams, senior leaders and executives, and external customers.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field AND 4+ years of industry experience in product/service/project/program management OR software development
OR eqivalent experience.
Proven ability to drive large-scale product initiatives requiring cross-organization collaboration and leadership.
Experience with customer-centric and data-driven designs and customer validation, including experience gathering requirements from customers and the ability to derive insights from a variety of data sets.
Technical knowledge or product experience in at least one of the following domains:security such as identity/threat protection or privacyand compliance systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences .
Skilled in risk management, business risk analysis, and making complex business/risk trade-off recommendations and decisions.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or relevant industry experience and certifications.
