Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.

Expertise in Oracle SQL tuning performance and Oracle BI Publisher Developer comprehensive experience in designing, developing, and optimising business intelligence reports.

Career Level - IC4

Responsibilities

– Diagnose and resolve individual SQL performance issues (you would need to apply hints, define new indexes, investigate optimiser/environment issues ).

  • Diagnose and resolve performance issues with overall database instance (DB configuration, Oracle bugs, Issues injected by Development teams and etc).

  • Explore and adopt new technologies, eg Oracle 23ai, Autonomous Transaction Processing, Auto indexing, Frequent statistics and etc.

  • Collaborate with Development teams to ensure they are designing solution for optimal performance.

– Should have good knowledge on database initialization parameters.

– Extensive knowledge on data models, parameters, LOVs, bursting of BIP reports

– Working knowledge of OTBI is desired.

– Various scheduling ways of BI reports and performance enhancing configuration parameters.

– Report development using RTF, etext, Excel Templates for BI

To be successful in the role you should be passionate about database performance for which following skills are mandatory

  • SQL Tuning

  • PL/SQL experience

  • Understand DB schema design principles

  • Solid understanding of Oracle architecture and internals (RAC, Memory Components, processes)

  • Experience with AWR and/or ASH data

  • Experience with Shell, Python, Perl or Java

  • Working experience/Developing/writting BI Reports in Fusion SaaS

  • Troubleshooting BI Reports with respect to sql tuning, configuration. Knowledge of different parameters of BI reports.

– Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

– Proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.

Supplementary skills:

  • Oracle performance diagnostics tools

  • Building synthetic test cases

  • Experience Used tools like OEM
