WSD is responsible for keeping Windows customers secure and up to date. As the largest technology shift of our time unfolds, WSD recognizes the prime opportunity to invest in a Principal Product Manager for AI/ML Strategy within Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD). This strategic leadership role will harness the power of AI/ML to enhance the Windows operating system's servicing and delivery, driving innovation, and solidifying Microsoft's position as a global technology leader, empowering millions of users worldwide.

Role Overview: As the Principal Product Manager for AI/ML Strategy within Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD) at Microsoft India, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation and advancing our AI/ML capabilities to enhance the servicing and delivery experience of Windows Updates . Your strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Windows and impacting millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities

  1. AI/ML Strategy Development : Lead the ideation, creation, and execution of the AI/ML strategy for Windows Servicing and Delivery India team, aligned with the overall WSD global roadmap. Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML to enhance user experiences, agility, improve productivity and bringing in efficiencies.

  2. Technical Leadership : Stay abreast of cutting-edge AI/ML technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the WSD domain. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and product managers to integrate AI/ML solutions effectively into Windows servicing delivery platform and services.

  3. Product Lifecycl e : Define a clear and compelling vision for AI/ML integration within Windows Servicing and Delivery, communicating this vision to local and global stakeholders, executives, and the wider organization.Drive the product lifecycle from ideationthrurollout including POCs, market study, feasibility analysis etc.

  4. Data-driven Insights : Utilize data-driven insights and user feedback to make informed decisions and prioritize AI/ML initiatives that drive measurable impact. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to track the effectiveness of AI/ML implementations.

  5. Collaboration and Partnerships : Foster strong partnerships with internal teams, such as Windows Engineering, Azure AI/ML teams, and Microsoft Research, to leverage resources, share best practices, and align with company-wide AI/ML initiatives.

  6. Innovation and Research : Encourage a culture of continuous learning and experimentation, leading research efforts to identify novel AI/ML approaches and evaluate their feasibility for integration into WSD.

  7. Responsible AI Compliance : Lead and drive Responsible AI compliance andother standards and workstream across WSD and accordingly deploy effective risk mitigation and compliance management.

  8. Thought Leadership : Act as a thought leader within the industry, representingWSD & Microsoft at conferences, industry events, and academic forums to share insights and advancements in AI/ML technologies.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on AI/ML strategy and execution.

  • In-depth knowledge of AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, reinforcement learning, RAI compliance and data analytics.

  • Proven track record of leading and delivering successful AI/ML projects, preferably in large-scale software products or services.

  • Technical background in computer science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (MS/Ph.D.) is a plus.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strong cross-functional relationships.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Passion for technology and a keen understanding of market trends and customer needs.
