We are seeking a Program Manager to lead Sustaining Qualification initiatives for our qualification and testing teams for Rack Manager and Chassis Manager. You will partner with Azure Engineering teams across Microsoft as well as suppliers and technology partners to establish, develop and optimize processes, frameworks and infrastructure to scale and grow our Sustaining Qualification capabilities, while supporting and improving day-to-day execution of Sustaining Qualification activities.

Successful candidate will have experience with firmware and hardware qualification and test methodology, as well as experience running sustaining qual operations, establishing operational processes and collecting, organizing and using data to drive improvements in qualification service.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the program manager for Sustaining Qualification team focusing on Chassis Manager and Rack Manager

  • Develop processes and procedures to execute sustaining qual with high standards of service

  • Build knowledge and train team members on firmware and hardware sustaining engineering

  • Automation engineering: collaborate cross-functionallyto help implement end-to-end automation frameworks to streamline qualification forecasting, intake, setup, execution, and signoff

  • Quality as a Service: Maintain and improve operational KPI metrics providing visibility into operations, gaps, and opportunities for optimization

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years experience with cloud product development, integration, and test.

  • 5+ years experiencedelivering engineering projects with strong technical management, program management and cross-group collaboration skills.

  • Strong expertise in qualification and testing, hardware development lifecycle

  • Experience working with internal customers and external vendors

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience running hardware qualification operations with focus on sustaining qualification

  • Excellent skills in cross-functional collaboration including being able to present to and drive consensus with senior leaders

  • Experience operating a service for internal customers including ticketing systems, SLAs, escalations

  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership, and excellent problem-solving skills

  • Experience with test automation, inventory, change procedures, data center operations, and security best practices
