As a manager of the

software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software

architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing,

debugging or designing software applications according to provided design

specifications of Cornerstone SumTotal Talent suite. Build enhancements within

an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.

Manages and controls

activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational

planning is effectively executed to meet corporate specifications. Demonstrated

leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills,

analytical skills, build and own thorough understanding of product development.

In this role, you will…

• Responsible for the delivering the key features byinvolving in design, development, and maintenance of Cornerstone SumTotalTalent suite.

• Use Agile principles to run the development lifecyclefor Cornerstone SumTotal suite of products. Drive Agile squads toaccomplish requirements with high quality.

• Motivate team from time to time and take initiatives toimprove quality of the products

• Develop teams that meets design specifications, followsstandards, and is easy to maintain

• Reduce defect backlog by driving sustenance activitiesfor the key customer escalations

• Enhance team skillset by constantly engaging with theteam members through mentoring, supervising and driving the projects

• Improve the performance of the product deliverables

You’ve got what it takes if you have…

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• 5+ years’ experience in managing a team of atleast 6direct reports

• 8+ years of hands-on experience working on full stackapplications, preferable using Microsoft technologies.

• 7+ years’ experience with Relation Database Systems(SQL Server) and / or NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB)

• 7+ years’ experience in web or mobile front-endapplication development. Prefer hands-on experience on ReactJS or ReactNative.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing distributedapplications following event-based architecture.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Candidate must be an energetic, self-motivated problemsolver who works well in a team.

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science orRelated Field. Masters in Business Administration will be an addedadvantage.

• Strong logical, analytical and problem solving alongwith troubleshooting/debugging skills

• Ability to work well with the team and have passion fordelivering high quality code

• Demonstrates proficiency in all phases of the productdevelopment cycle

• Has excellent customer viewpoint, and uses iteffectively in decision making

• Work effectively with other departments as and whenrequired

• Experience with Common Design Patterns and adhering toSOLID principles. Good to have knowledge of designing and working withmicroservices

• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks
