If you are a software engineering professional, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a QA Engineer to work with our controls and software team. This role will work independently and as a part of a team and will be involved in Test Automation of user stories and implement requirements with a focus on quality and performance. You must have a passion for learning, and the ability to apply that learning in a practical manner to your high quality work

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• To take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary.

• Developing test plans and procedures to ensure software meets agreed upon expectations.

• Develop, automate, document, and execute test suites.

• Maintain and improve automation pipeline and test environment.

• Track defects, collect required information, and recommend resolutions.

• Research on new innovative test methods and procedures.

• Demonstrate the ability to help team members through pair programming and code reviews.

• Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science

• 2 to 4 years of QA experience in writing automation, test frameworks & maintaining automated test infrastructure.

• Strong expertise and experience in Python programming

• Good knowledge and understanding of any Python Test Automation Frameworks: PyTest/ PyUnit etc.

• Strong understanding of Software QA methodologies & practices

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Industrial Automation Knowledge and exposure in using Controller programming/HMI software is added advantage
