Job Description
What You’ll Do
We seek an experienced engineering leader who enjoys leading/supporting engineers
with the same enthusiasm as building high-impact developer tools/infrastructure. The
engineering As the Data engineering & Operations leader of the Oracle Health
Engineering team, you will drive engineering initiatives behind our reliability and
availability programs. You will be responsible for the Control Plane, Tooling, Observability, Disaster Recovery, Scalability & Cost EKiciency of the industry-first Semantic Index and other Data products. You will bring in AIOps and DataOps productivity.
Team Leadership & Culture
Lead the Engineering team from the IDC oKice and support a team of passionate engineers.
Own an “always on” culture on the team. Your products and services will operate systems on a global scale with high resiliency and operational metrics.
Provide technical guidance and constructive feedback to leadership, team members, and other stakeholders. Build Product-first thinking in the organization
Business Intelligence, Metrics definitions & Data Quality
Lead development of eKective BI to see how our product metrics are performing
Drive improvement in Data Quality and drive data quality initiatives; Participate in feature engineering plans for the downstream teams
Stakeholder Leadership
Partner with US team/leaders on Oracle Health initiatives.
Work with product management team to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Contribute to product roadmaps by identifying areas of need and engaging with stakeholders to scope work.
Prioritization, Process & Planning
Assist in the development of short, medium and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives.
Drive wide-scale engineering technical programs that cross platforms, customers, and technologies.
Drive development processes, automated testing strategies, development tools and continued developer eKiciency processes.
Delivery
Raise the bar for engineering quality and best practices.
Maintain development and production infrastructure as part of a customer-focused engineering culture with operational excellence.
Drive performant, scalable, and forward-thinking solutions to completion on time.
Design Leadership Architect, design, develop and troubleshoot scalable, operationally focused, customer-facing cloud services
Responsibilities
Qualifications
• 15+ Years of Experience building innovative, highly scalable data processing
systems on cloud services.
• Deep expertise in design concepts and technologies within the data processing
and engineering space.
• Successfully delivering and operating software products globally for large number
of customers.
• Demonstrated achievement of operational excellence within the engineering
organization leading to high customer satisfaction.
• Well versed in security and compliance of cloud-based applications and services,
implementing appropriate security controls and monitoring solutions to protect
critical data and mitigate risks.
• 5 plus years demonstrated ability leading software engineering teams
• Strong communication skills and thorough understanding of product
development.
