Cloud Data Engineer Lead

The Team: We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled, and enthusiastic lead data engineer to join our team for an exciting new opportunity. In this role you will be a key member for designing, implementing, and maintaining a data warehouse and data lake solution that will have an emphasis being built with AWS and other technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-lead in the design, development and maintenance of a new Data warehouse, data lake, and data analytics solution

  • Design and implement reusable, scalable and robust solutions.

  • Ensure data integrity, reliability, and efficiency.

  • Collaborate closely with cross functional technical and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related degree

  • 7+ years’ experience as a data engineer designing data warehouse and data lake solutions.

  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT principles and how to apply them within a modern cloud Data Warehouse/Data Lake environment.

  • Familiarity with data integration and enterprise integration patterns

  • Strong understanding and proven success working with cloud technologies with an emphasis on AWS.

  • Experience with the SDLC of a commercially released product.

  • A strong understanding of cloud databases such as Snowflake and Redshift

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL

  • Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, NiFi, Redshift, Hadoop, Docker, Kubernetes is helpful.

  • Experience working in Agile/Kanban team environments is preferred.
