Position Overview:

This role exists in a division within NTT that is focused on leading the delivery of Cloud services. Our mission is to simplify delivery across multiple global geographic regions, whilst providing innovative, cost effective platforms to our end customers.

This role is part of the CSD global delivery team. As a Project Manager your focus is to manage the implementation of Cloud solutions within NTT datacentres, ensuring that the scope of services sold are delivered on time, within budget and with the appropriate level of quality.

You will need to work closely with other parts of the business to ensure that we aligned from a scope and timing perspective. In some circumstances the solutions you provide will be delivered directly to customers and other 3rd parties.

What you'll be doing

As a Project Manager, key responsibilities include:

 Manage the timely delivery of sales orders for our internal & external customers, to agreed quality and within time and budget constraints

 Support other members of the team in defining approach and assessing risk, assisting with escalations and planning mitigation

 Supporting pre-sales bids and scoping/costing activities relating to CSD services

 Maintaining customer and internal stakeholder relationships during the project life cycle with timely and accurate communication

 Demonstrate a proactive approach to risk management; identify, analyse and propose mitigation

 Produce/update project documentation, to include project management and technical artefacts

 Cross check project requirements to ensure the appropriate level of quality assurance has taken place, assist in peer reviews of others project deliverables

 Build effective communication and influence with internal delivery teams and 3rd parties to ensure that services are delivered on time and quality

 Ensure that equipment requirements for operations & customer projects are approved, ordered and received on time, in the correct Hosting Datacentres

 Administration of our core tools and document repositories to support the implementation of orders

 Support of Best Practices; make recommendations to facilitate positive changes to further development of project and procurement processes

 Regular housekeeping of outstanding orders to ensure that the backlog is minimised

 Book in kit deliveries to global datacentres, raise and manage tickets for racking and stacking

 Liaise with suppliers for RMA’s, late and part deliveries and missing equipment to resolve issues and minimise project delays

 Undertake reporting activities for their project portfolio and team as directed

 Any other duties required by the Manager which is reasonably with the scope of this role.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

 3-5 years of Project Management experience, ideally delivering technical projects.

 Prince2 or PMI Project Management or PMP or equivalent qualifications.

 Full lifecycle project management in a technical environment.

 Experience in a customer service environment, both by telephone and face-to-face.

 Conceptual understanding of IT technology, data centre networking and the Internet.

 Proven ability to meet high standards of written and oral communications with customers.

 Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft PowerPoint.

 Proven ability to work under pressure and with other people.

 Appropriate attention to detail.

 Forward thinker and team player.
