The Listing Services team, a part of the wider Core Selling Partner Experience division, is seeking a Business Analyst to support analytics and insights for its key initiatives. The Listing Services team owns a suite of APIs used by third party Developers to create and manage the product selection of Sellers on Amazon. The team also is responsible for ensuring that our product listing attribute requirements (metadata) are accurate and relevant, and provide a best in class listing experience.

A Business Analyst (BA) on this team will develop analytical solutions to solve problems, dive deep into defined business metrics, or support the development of new metrics, thus providing the team insights that will shape its direction and strategic vision. An ideal candidate will be adept at using a range of data related skills (MS Excel, SQL, Visualization tools like Quicksight, Tableau) to transform data into actionable business information and help make information and insights accessible to all stakeholders. The BA will own the creation and management of potentially large data sets. The BA will interact with program managers, product managers, engineers and business leaders to bring order and structure to ambiguous problem statements, and instrument metrics to track the impact of business or product or tech solutions.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop a good understanding of the tools used by Amazon’s Selling Partners to list products on Amazon.

• Will be comfortable working with large data sets and to extract and transform data using various tools and technologies.

• Own the delivery and backup of periodic metrics through dashboards, using SQL and Excel/Tableau/Quicksight.

Use data to support ideas, drive actionable outcomes, and provide unique ways to present data and information in an easy to consume format.

• Find root causes, and trends using data, and identify how they impact business.

• Understand the requirements of stakeholders and map them with the data sources/data warehouse.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics or related field

  • 3+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI or other BI packages

  • 2+ years of experience working in an Analytics / Business Intelligence environment, preferably in a technology company, and experience working extensively in large scale data bases and data warehouses.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience communicating analytical outcomes through written communication to both business and technical teams.
