AMS (Application Management Services) team is a group of highly motivated and dedicated people from some of the best universities and clinical trials industry who provide 24/7 support to the production customer systems. A successful candidate will be a strong team player who is able to work across multiple functions and disciplines. The candidate should be self-directed and have deep experience and knowledge in scripting, automation and cloud technologies.
Support a scalable hosting environment for managing mission critical processes in multi-server Windows, Linux, and Oracle environment requiring limited or no downtime.
Collaborate with Automation and Development teams to evaluate and identify optimal solutions.
Educating teams on the implementation of new solutions, automation and initiatives. Mentor staff on troubleshooting /scripting
Identifying, analyzing, and resolving production infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements
Usually works with little supervision, conferring with superiors on unusual or complex matters.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Linux and Windows Server OS
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Experience in Ansible (YAML Code)
Experience in Chef
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, OCI).
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI,).
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Experience with SQL/PLSQL.
Familiarity with Cloud Services (OCI).
Experience in Ticketing systems, JIRA, Kanban, Confluence, APEX, Agile methodologies
Education and Work Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Possess strong technical skills in the automation, troubleshooting, problem solving in the Windows, Linux server environments to support applications
• Knowledge in Oracle RDBMS, any specific application level language working knowledge is always helpful
• Experience in automation scripting knowledge (Perl, Python, and Unix Shell Scripting etc.)
• Experience in SQL
• Passion for solving complex problems actively that delights the customers
• Possess good organizational and Collaborative skills with “Can Do” attitude
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel, proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
• Strong & excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to dive in and learn complex systems
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
• Enjoys troubleshooting and fixing systems
• Is a good scripter but not a heads down programmer
• Is willing to work on tasks outside of scripting
• Service/customer/production focused
• Experience in Service management tools (Remedy, Service Now, CX)
• Flexible to work in 24/7 (including night shifts), willingness to work either Saturday or Sunday in Night shift depending on maintenance schedule and take week-off on weekdays
• Ability to resolve and troubleshoot the issues reported from customers during the respective shifts is absolute need during outages in the customer application production environments

Cloud Production Operations Support: Participate in production support activities (including weekend maintenance) for cloud operations, ensuring high availability and reliability of our services. Work with global teams to investigate, troubleshoot, resolve and remediate.
Automation: Develop solutions and automate tasks that improve efficiency and productivity
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams for planning and execution of tasks, problem investigation, automation, improvements and enhancements to existing processes
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within our processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed tools, solutions and processes.
