Google Application Analyst, Trust and Safety in Hyderabad, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, and visualization/dashboards.

  • Experience with cloud-based applications.

  • Experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g., Python).

  • Experience with security audits or security solutions development and implementation.

  • Ability to work non-standard hours as needed to support escalations. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

  • Manage, monitor, and analyze mobile and cloud-based applications for security vulnerabilities, and develop and implement security solutions to protect users from risks related to cloud-based applications.

  • Conduct analysis of recently activated tokens/projects or understand patterns and threats. Analyze business, infrastructure, and other signal data, for a variety of patterns including fraud, brand risk, control breakdown, and regulatory non-compliance.

  • Drive prioritization, alignment, and implementation of risk mitigation initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams.

  • Deliver process impact measures, and establish metrics for programs, comprehensive reporting and insights on risks and process health.

  • Review sensitive content as part of the core role and participate in on-call rotation, which may include non-standard hours (e.g., weekends, holidays).
