Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of 4-5 welders,providing supervision,coordination,and support to maintain high performance.
Inspect welds for quality assurance,ensuring final products meet or exceed company and industry standards.
Oversee heavy fabrication projects utilizing various metals,including stainless steel,aluminum,and steel,ensuring precision and efficiency.
Interpret blueprints,stage projects,and collaborate with engineers to address design challenges or resolve issues with missing components.
Monitor and maintain production schedules to meet strict deadlines without compromising quality.
Implementing lean processes and promoting daily operational enhancements.
Develop and execute training programs to upskill team members,ensuring all welders achieve and maintain necessary certifications.
Assign tasks,track progress,and provide ongoing guidance and feedback to optimize team productivity.
Lead daily production meetings to align teams and address project priorities.
Partner with the Operations Manager on recruitment,performance evaluations,and employee growth initiatives.
Enforce safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe,compliant,and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
Demonstrated management expertise,ideally in welding or heavy fabrication environments.
Extensive knowledge of welding techniques and the ability to assess and ensure high-quality welds.
Hands-on experience with large-scale custom fabrication projects involving various metals.
Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints,with proficiency in MRP systems for efficient workflow management.
Exceptional time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.
Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor to foster collaboration and client satisfaction.
Capability to train,mentor,and lead teams while promoting a positive,inclusive workplace culture.
A commitment to workplace safety standards and continuous process improvements.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and adapt to various working conditions,including outdoor environments.
Frequent standing,walking,and operating machinery.
Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders and maneuvering into positions necessary for detailed work.
Pay
$27.00 to $33.00 Per Hour DOE
Schedule
Day Shift | 6:00 or 7:00 AM 4:30 or 5:30 PM | Monday Thursday
