Product Manager

Job Description:

We are on the hunt for a talented Product Manager at Sage Intacct! This is an opportunity to influence the product which helps scores of accountants do their job more efficiently. Playing a key role on the team responsible for core functionality, you will use your analytical mindset to understand invoicing, vendor aging and payments requirements. You will write detailed user stories and requirements, communicate these to teammates and forge deep and productive relationships with colleagues in engineering and operations. Occasionally, you may help to drive usability studies, customer research, and competitive product analysis to better understand customer needs and desired workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough market and user research, define product value for building out the vendor/supplier i invoice management, and connection to payment solution

• Collaborate with other product managers, engineering staff and other stakeholders to build product features

• Conduct user study to enhance workflow improvement

• Track user, industry trends, standards and competitive offerings in the markets, as prioritized by senior management. Identify opportunities for new value-added and differentiated features in these markets.

• Use available data and research to understand target customer’s needs and current market’s sweet spot

• Prioritize features and other development projects in collaboration with product leadership to achieve business results

• Write detailed user stories and requirement that are necessary for the engineering organization to implement new Intacct solutions.

• Lead scrum team for development progress and schedule, issue, and risk management for your product areas.

• Analyze Sage Intacct solution against key competitors to provide business process maps for Sage Intacct offerings, provide competitive analysis and incorporate findings into the corporate product roadmap.

Qualifications:

• Comprehensive understanding of financial workflows, accounting methods, and industry trends

• Willingness and ability to work across time zones daily to conduct customer research, attend customer calls, cross team meetings, and host collaboration design sessions

• Proven experience with project leadership and project management with a track-record of managing successful delivery

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong leadership skills with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

• 3-5 years hands on experience in product management, ideally for a SaaS company is highly desired

• Confident and effective communications skills presenting to product leaders, customers, and technical staff.
