POSITION SUMMARY
As Executive Director , Currency, you will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of the organization's Currency business growth initiatives. This key leadership position will oversee the identification and development of new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and revenue-generating projects. The Executive Director will collaborate closely with internal teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders to drive business expansion, market presence, and long-term sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development, strategic planning, and leadership within a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning and Leadership
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives
Work with the multi-market business development team on target strategies and opportunities
Collaborate with the executive team to define and implement the overall business strategy
New Business Opportunities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets, products, and services
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
Analyze data to determine market potential and opportunities for growth
Client and Partner Relationships
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
Identify potential strategic partnerships and negotiate agreements
Ensure client satisfaction and retention
Sales and Revenue Growth
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth
Set and monitor sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs )
Lead the development of proposals, pitches, and presentations to secure new business
Market Expansion and Brand Development
Develop strategies for breaking into new and existing markets
Promote the company's brand and act as a brand ambassador
Attend industry events and conferences to network and build industry relationships
Financial Management
Analyze financial data and evaluate the ROI of potential business opportunities
Prepare financial forecasts and budgets related to business development initiatives
Oversee department-level profit and loss (P&L) statements
Team Management
Build and manage high-performing business management team
Set individual and team performance goals
Provide training and development opportunities for team members
Reporting and Analysis
Prepare and present regular reports on activities and results to the executive team
Utilize analytic tools to assess viable business development opportunities
Monitor progress against set strategic objectives and adjust strategies as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s d egree in Business Administration/Marketing or related filed or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
10 + of years of business development and/or marketing experience
Experience with protracted sales cycles and B2G sales (RFPs) is a strong asset

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally approx. 20 weeks/year
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) personal security clearance.
