Housing Assistance Corp. Leased Housing Program Representative in Hyannis, Massachusetts

As a Program Representative with Housing Assistance of Cape Cod, you?ll be the go-to expert for keeping participants in stable housing. From verifying incomes & calculating rents to managing certifications & supporting tenants & landlords, you?ll play a key role in making sure our Leased Housing programs thrive. This position is ideal for a detailed problem-solver with a compassionate approach & a commitment to improving lives. Essential Functions: Policy Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on state & federal housing regulations & HAC policies to ensure compliance. Participant Support: Guide clients through all necessary procedures to maintain their housing program participation. Ongoing Transaction Management: Handle recertifications, changes in family status, income adjustments, tenant payments, & program eligibility accurately according to federal guidelines. Data Management: Keep accurate records, report data per HUD standards, & ensure compliance with EOHLC benchmarks. Collaboration: Work with inspectors for timely property inspections, investigate program violations, & manage voucher terminations as needed. Additional Responsibilities: Encourage participation in programs like Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS). Maintain client files, adhere to EOHLC verification standards, & collaborate with internal & external partners to support housing goals. Attend required meetings, trainings, & workshops to remain updated & effective in your role. Required Certifications (to be obtained within six months): HCV Occupancy Certification HCV Rent Calculation Certification HCV Specialist Certification EIV Workshop & Training Fair Housing & Reasonable Accommodation Certification Required Skills & Experience: Exceptional organizational & time-management skills Strong written & verbal communication, with sensitivity to client confidentiality Familiarity with Microsoft Office & a detail-oriented approach Ability to prioritize tasks & maintain a friendly, compassionate demeanor Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field Experience with government program administration, banking, or assisting individuals in distress Work Environment & Requirements: This position is based in an office environment with regular hours.
