An experienced data management professional and a leader in the design of data models, data warehouses, data integration, and databases and the use of data; mentors less experienced staff on their technical and professional development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Proposes and promotes standards and policies in adherence with data governance practices.
- Collects, defines, and assesses the business requirements for business solution design.
- Establishes coding standards and practices for data elements. Leads data conversion efforts.
- Demonstrates a broad understanding of the applications, data, and technical architectures.
- Establishes disaster mitigation and recovery plans for solutions and databases supported.
- Applies advanced expertise with capacity planning, fault tolerance, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Designs and implements enterprise level data, application, and database security layers.
- Serves as a technical resource across IT on data management issues.
- Promotes the reuse of existing data objects and entities across the enterprise to reduce cost and meet business requirements.
- Establishes and drives consistent standards for data management and analysis tools and techniques to advise on the applications development process and to ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Typically provides direction to a team of staff and contractors in their area of expertise.
- Mentors and develops technical staff in their domain.
- Participates in on-call rotations as needed.
- Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank\'s BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
