TEKsystems Part-Time L1 Service Desk Technician *Secret Clearance Required* in Huntsville, Alabama
Description
TEKsystems is looking for multiple part time help desk technicians to support one of the largest enterprise service desks in the defense space. The positions are remote but must be local to one of the following locations: Augusta, GA, Anderson County, TN, Canon City, CO, Fort Huachuca, AZ, Greene County, IN, Jonesborough, AR, Virginia Beach, VA or Huntsville, AL
These roles are part-time 25-30 hours per week. Candidates need to be available to work 10-2 pm Sunday through Saturday. There will be a 6 week full-time training they will go through prior to them starting to take help desk tickets. The expectation is they will be part-time hours after training for 2 months then move to full-time hours after that.
Responsibilities:
Resolve technical problems (Tier 1) and answers queries by telephone or self-service ticket in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems.
Answers basic questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of assigned products.
Applies basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures.
Escalates complex problems to higher tiers as required.
Documents all customer interactions within a ticketing system.
Requirements:
This candidate is required to have an active Secret Security Clearance.
One of the following: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security
- 6+ months of help desk support experience
Office 365 fundamental knowledge
Ideally have experience with Remedy or ServiceNow's ticketing system
Communication, ability to work well with a team will be very important for this position.
Intellectual curiosity, agents who come in wanting to learn will prosper
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.97 - $25.97/hr.
