Position Description: Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Mission Application Engineer to support a U.S. Space Army program. This position requires a talented and experienced Mission Application Engineer with experience in Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) to contribute to a larger multidisciplined engineering team to support the analysis/feasibility, planning/requirements, design, system development, testing, deployment, maintenance, evaluation, and disposition/disposal of a spacecraft payload. The Mission Application Engineer will design, simulate, synthesize and test payload designs and be required to apply out-of-the-box thinking to develop novel, non-traditional designs. Must work well in a small, fast-paced and mission-driven environment.

Desired Qualifications:

MS in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant fields Modeling and Simulation SME provides executive-level insight to NAVWAR engineering support. Experience in formulating operational concepts; performing mission, functional, cost-benefit and risk analysis; developing signal processing architecture and overall system architecture. Provide research and development of multi-function small form factor payloads for completing NAVWAR-based missions. Develop and analyze models of novel algorithmic concepts to produce distributed electronic sensing effects for NAVWAR payloads. Utilize EW signal processing algorithms that enable threat detection and identification for employing countermeasures. Develop systems to support GPS system hardening to prevent NAVWAR effects on blue force systems Develop RF hardware and software solutions for integrating EW, Comms, and Radar missions into a small form factor payload. Investigate heterogeneous sensing concepts across different platforms (i.e. manned and unmanned, high altitude ISR, ALE, etc.). Investigate sensing approaches with passive modes. Design and implement testing of RF and other hardware portions of software defined radio frameworks Reverse engineer existing NAVWAR signal processing solutions Synthesize and allocate system requirements, and derive requirements to ensure the system architecture is fully defined, understood, and compliant to mission needs Support development and implementation of client requirements for RF solutions including services, products, technologies and capabilities which encompass airborne mission environments. Performs Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testing on systems that can be impacted by denial/deception of PNT/GPS Support technical reviews of vendor hardware and software products and deliverables, interface development and development of software algorithms and models for simulation. Research of the state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms.

Required Skills/Experience: US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant fields Knowledge of RF hardware systems and testing equipment. Seven (6+) years NAVWAR experience Experience implementing complex designs in Verilog/VHDL for FPGA platforms Hands-on experience with JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers and protocol analyzers Knowledge of Linux and Petalinux. Will require innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills and adaptive thinking. C/C++ or other embedded programming languages Required Tool Experience: Microsoft Office Products Security Clearance: Applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
