We are pleased to announce an opening for a Missile Defense Architecture Engineer who will join our Engineering Services Team in Huntsville, Alabama and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, and space control marketspaces. Qualified candidates will be part of an exceptional team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) mission to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System (MDS) to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends from missile attacks in all phases of flight.

Responsibilities:

Qualified candidates will be providing technical support for MDA Advanced Architecture (MDA/CA). The MDA/CA team is focused on designing and building the requirements for future Missile Defense architectures (interoperable systems, configurations, and laydowns) to close current and future capability gaps to continue driving Missile Defense capabilities to outpace the adversary. This work will support the Architecture Design directorate (MDA/CAD) within the Allied Defense group which is charged with the goal of producing architectures that best integrate US and Allied forces.

Duties include:

  • Support organization of US Allied activities within MDA and serve as an information broker

  • Aggregate information on US Allies' missile defense system assets and capabilities

  • Collect Allied "Green Force" asset laydown information to support CAD Architecture Requirements Package (ARP) development

  • Identify opportunities to share US missile defense technology and data with Allies, and facilitate the information transfer

  • Find ways that US Allies can invest more in missile defense technology and assets to benefit the shared mission

  • Provide staff work for customer regularly and as needed (schedule meetings / conference rooms, write meeting executive summaries, generate team status reports, end of day activity reports, assist with security administration, etc.).

Basic Qualifications:

At a minimum, qualified candidates must have:

  • A master's degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, or computer science.

  • At least 12 years of full-time professional experience in a technical field related to missile defense and/or technical analysis of a complex Department of Defense ( DoD) weapon system.

  • A bachelor's degree with 20 years experience may be considered in lieu of a master's degree .

  • Must be eligible to obtain or have an active SECRET clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

  • Must be able to work at our customer site on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Works independently and/or leads sub-teams, applying engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems

  • Ability to conduct independent research and collaborate with team on shared findings

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and MS Office automation tool proficiency

  • Experience with MDA Systems Engineering processes
