Description
Leidos is seeking a Microsoft Power Platform & SharePoint Engineer to join a diverse team and be an active team player in creating unique solutions for complex problems. Location for work is Huntsville, Alabama. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the growth and modernization of our manufacturing systems, leveraging Microsoft Power Platform tools to streamline operations and drive efficiency across multiple manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in Microsoft Power Platform development, particularly within a manufacturing environment, and have a solid understanding of SharePoint site design for departmental use.
Primary Responsibilities
Power Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and other related tools to enhance the functionality and efficiency of our manufacturing systems.
SharePoint Site Design: Design, implement, and manage SharePoint sites tailored for manufacturing departments, ensuring effective collaboration, document management, and streamlined workflows within the manufacturing organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams across various departments, including IT, manufacturing, operations, and business leaders, to gather technical requirements and implement solutions that improve manufacturing processes, data workflows, and decision-making.
System Integration & Support: Support and integrate new applications, workflows, and tools referencing existing manufacturing data systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and data flow from disparate systems (e.g., MRP/ERP, MES, PLM).
Problem Solving & Change Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex manufacturing challenges by applying creative technical solutions within Power Platform. Contribute to process improvements, automation, and data-driven decision-making, supporting the adoption of new tools and processes within manufacturing teams.
User Support & Training: Provide ongoing support and training for manufacturing teams on new and existing Power Platform solutions, ensuring users are empowered to maximize the tools’ capabilities. Create and maintain user documentation and training materials.
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate on the design and implementation of standardized KPIs, metrics, and reporting tools, using Power BI to enable better data visibility and performance tracking across manufacturing sites.
Process Optimization: Participate in identifying areas for automation, process improvement, and operational efficiency using the capabilities of the Power Platform suite.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field with at least 4 years of experience in Microsoft Power Platform development, with a strong background in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and related tools.
Experience designing and establishing SharePoint sites to support manufacturing teams, with a focus on improving collaboration, document management, and workflow efficiency.
Strong understanding of manufacturing data systems (e.g., MRP/ERP, MES, PLM) and how they interface within a production environment.
Proven experience with system integration, data analysis, and business process optimization.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex problems and find innovative solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, engaging stakeholders and driving alignment on cross-functional initiatives.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
Experience with Microsoft 365 suite, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Skills in SQL, DAX, M, and a strong understanding of data analysis concepts
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Power Platform certifications (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, or similar).
Experience with other Microsoft technologies, such as Azure and Dynamics 365, is a plus.
Background in manufacturing or industrial engineering is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
Experience working with data systems across multiple manufacturing sites.
Strong experience in process mapping, data integration, and workflow automation within manufacturing settings.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools and report/dashboard development, particularly in Power BI.
Experience leading change management initiatives and driving organizational adoption of new technologies and processes.
Python and/or R experience is a plus.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
