Job Title: Group Leader

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Group Leader for the 2nd shift. The role involves leading a team of over 20-30 members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working hours are from 7:00 pm to 3:45 am.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of 20-30 members on the 2nd shift.

• Ensure production schedules are met and maintained.

• Implement and oversee continuous improvement processes.

• Promote and maintain a safe working environment.

• Develop and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.

• Coordinate assembly and logistics operations.

• Manage and optimize production processes using lean manufacturing and Kaizen methodologies.

• Monitor and improve performance metrics.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production supervision.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.

• Proficiency in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.

• Ability to manage production schedules and logistics.

• Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.

• Familiarity with Kronos and other production management tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in assembly and process improvement.

• Supervisory skills in a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

• Strong project scheduling and logistics coordination skills.

Work Environment

This role is based in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing facility. The 2nd shift hours are from 7:00 pm to 3:45 am. The environment emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork. Dress code is appropriate for a manufacturing setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Huntsville, Alabama.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00

company benefits - sits on site at MTM - will be a 2nd shift GL over a team and will report to management - monday through friday, 7 pm - 3:45 am

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Huntsville,AL.
