Bentley Automotive Experienced Auto Body Technician in Huntsville, Alabama
Job Summary:The Bentley Collision Center is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. Your expertise in auto body repair, painting, and finishing will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining our reputation for high-quality workmanship. Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of auto body repairs and restorations on various vehicle makes and models.
- Assess vehicle damage and develop appropriate repair plans.
- Repair or replace damaged body parts using hand and power tools.
- Straighten frames and align vehicle structures to restore proper dimensions.
- Perform necessary welding, cutting, and shaping of metal panels.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming.
- Apply paint coatings using spray guns and ensure proper color matching.
- Perform paint blending and polishing to achieve a seamless finish.
- Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized Auto Body Repair Technician program or relevant work experience.
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician in a professional automotive repair facility.
- Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Proficient in panel replacement, and frame straightening.
- Experience in color matching, paint application, and refinishing.
- Solid understanding of vehicle structure and repair methods.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- I-CAR certification or other relevant industry certifications.
- Experience working with luxury or high-end vehicles.
- Familiarity with computerized estimating and repair systems.
