ASRC Federal Holding Company Data Manager in Huntsville, Alabama

ASRC Federal is seeking a Data Management Professional to join our team in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense Data Center (MDDC) in Huntsville, AL.This position is within the Library Functional Area of the MDDC.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops Integrated Data Management Plans

  • Executes critical path data handling required for test analysis

  • Coordinates data requirements and develops presentations.

  • Foster relationships with the data community.

  • Leads data coordination activities and tracking data requests and deliveries.

  • Utilizes custom-developed data management software and the Microsoft Office Product Suite to accomplish the data management function.

  • Provides document scanning (unclassified and classified).

  • Performs media logging and labeling for all media formats.

  • Prepares media for destruction using correct procedures.

  • Develops unclassified and classified CDs holding migrated data.

  • Conducts migration of legacy media (unclassified and classified),

  • Conducts multiple media migration using correct procedures and processes (unclassified and classified).

  • Determines priorities, performs local backups, and loads scanned documents to mass storage system.

  • Conducts video processing and migrates older formats to newer formats (DVD).

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen with an Active Secret Security Clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent

  • 2-5 years of experience

  • Must demonstrate ability to perform in a team environment and against aggressive time schedules that support quick turnaround data processing operations.

  • Prior experience handling classified data on various media types
