PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Configuration Management Analyst II supports large-scale projects by performing essential Configuration Management (CM) tasks to ensure consistent product quality and process integrity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Collaborate with project management to identify product Configuration Items (CI).
Verify that CI files are appropriately stamped and upload them to the CM database.
Populate and maintain database metadata fields.
Execute change management tasks as outlined in CM process documents.
Maintain logs to support Configuration Status Accounting (CSA).
Coordinate and conduct Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) and assist with Functional Configuration Audits (FCA) as needed.
Develop CSA reports and support document control efforts.
Coordinate with remotely located team members to ensure comprehensive completion of CM process steps.
Prepare and deliver contract deliverables according to project requirements.
Develop and deliver Basis of Estimates for pre-contract award projects.
Review and update CM processes to enhance efficiency and support a streamlined continuous delivery pipeline.
Ensure release quality aligns with documented configuration standards.
Propose CM process improvements to management.
Mentor and guide junior CM analysts.
Perform other duties as needed to support organizational goals
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of Configuration Management policies and procedures with the ability to adhere to established processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and MS Teams.
Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to make recommendations for resolving issues.
Ability to ensure data accuracy within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) through Configuration Status Accounting.
Competence in interpreting engineering documents, safety rules, and standard operating procedures.
Detail-oriented with excellent task focus, organization, and efficiency.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Capable of multitasking, prioritizing commitments, and managing time effectively.
High attention to detail and follow-through.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma required.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and related tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Proactive and creative problem solver with a positive attitude.
NDIA or related certifications preferred.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.
