Wheel Fix It Automotive Painters Assistant in Huntsville, Alabama
We are looking for an employee who can work well with others but can also work independently. The paint prepper duties include but are not limited to preparing repaired wheels for refinishing and assist painter with their work. Sanding and prepping wheels experience is a plus. Needs to be able to take direction from employer and be personable to client. You will also be involved with helping in other areas in shop as needed. This job requires manual labor and lifting.
Drivers license and transportation is a must.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Prepare wheels and parts for painting using proper techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Prime wheels and parts.
- Sand wheels and parts prior to painting.
- Review all work with painter.
- Assist in smooth flow of work throughout the shop.
- Account for time spent on each job, each day.
- Maintain clean work area and safe conditions.
- Keep painter aware of work status.
- Alert the painter to any unusual problems or additional work needed on wheels and parts.
- Assist the painter as necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $8.00 - $13.50 per hour
