Job Description

A client in Huntsville, AL is looking for an Aircraft Structural Mechanic/Installer.

This person will work on a maintenance team that will be repairing and installing structural and body improvements to CH47's and SH60's.

Day to Day:

· Install units, parts, equipment, and components in structural assembly, as per drawings/specs, using both hand and power tools.

· Replace older aircraft body parts, flight control surfaces, fuel cell and tank cleaning and refurbishment, pylon and windshield replacements

· Adheres to strict dimension tolerances and compliance to FAA maintenance bulletins based on given engineering blueprints

· Could potentially operate gas-based Arc welding equipment, brazing equipment, centering tools, riveting tools and various other sheet metal and structural maintenance tools.

· Remove dented or dilapidated aircraft sheet metal and structural parts

· Cut, trim, bend and smooth sheet metal parts, making sure of proper fit within tolerances and clearance parts

· Understand and explain engineering blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layouts, sequences of operations, identities and relationship of parts

Skills and Requirements

Education:

o High School Diploma or GED.

o FAA A&P or appropriate military occupational specialty training required.

Experience:

-Five years experience on any air frame.

-Ability to work in hazardous conditions such as near flight lines.

-Ability to move up to 50 pounds. Welding experience. null
