Manpower in Huntington is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for a client in the tristate area.

The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees daily operations within a manufacturing facility. They play a critical role in ensuring production goals are met efficiently, safely, and with high quality. This position involves managing staff, coordinating production schedules, maintaining equipment, and enforcing safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

· Supervision: Directly manage operators, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and quality standards.

· Production Coordination: Schedule and coordinate production activities, optimizing workflow and resource allocation.

· Quality Assurance: Monitor product quality, identify defects, and implement corrective actions.

· Equipment Maintenance: Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained, coordinating repairs as needed.

· Safety Compliance: Enforce safety guidelines, conduct safety training, and address any safety concerns promptly.

· Performance Metrics: Track production metrics (e.g., output, efficiency, scrap rates) and implement improvements.

· Team Leadership: Motivate and lead production teams, fostering a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Typically requires 5 or more years in a supervisory capacity in manufacturing setting.

• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving. Experience with production processes and safety protocols.

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is often required; additional technical or management education is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).

• Standing/Walking: Frequent standing and walking throughout the production area.

• Manual Dexterity: Skilled in using tools and handling equipment.

• Visual Acuity: Ability to inspect products and read gauges or displays.
