As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in managing inventory and procuring raw materials and services essential to our operations.

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Reports to: General Manager

Job Summary: As a Buyer, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing process across multiple departments including production, shipping, warehouse, engineering, and office. Working closely with the General Manager, you will ensure that inventory levels are maintained, purchasing needs are met efficiently, and vendor relationships are fostered. The role requires strong negotiation skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and participate in weekly meetings with the General Manager to align purchasing strategies with company objectives.

• Monitor and analyze stock levels to anticipate purchasing needs for specific production items.

• Research market trends and identify potential vendors, evaluate proposals, and negotiate pricing and terms.

• Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

• Maintain accurate records of orders, contracts, and vendor information in internal databases.

• Collaborate with receiving and warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate receipt of products.

• Review and update procurement contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy.

• Develop and implement processes to optimize inventory management based on weekly reports.

• Purchase necessary services and equipment maintenance for all facilities.

• Supervise and provide guidance to the Purchasing Assistant and other assigned staff.

• Manage special projects and handle inventory for various facility needs.

After 60-Day Transition Period:

• Oversee purchasing of raw materials and inventory maintenance, addressing any late or problem deliveries.

• Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors on procurement of parts with long lead times or availability issues.

• Utilize ERP systems to manage inventory reports and ensure accurate parts ordering.

• Establish and maintain tracking systems for critical items with extended lead times.

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant purchasing experience.

• Proven experience in negotiating and managing supplier relationships.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively based on company needs.

• Knowledge of market research and supply chain management practices.

• Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
