Crops/Commodities: Rice, corn, soybeans, cotton, milo.\ This job requires a minimum of 3 months of agricultural employment experience in ground support for aerial seeding, fertilizing and dusting crops, handling both manual and mechanized tasks. Applicants must be able to furnish verbal or written statement establishing relevant prior work experience. Performs duties in ground support for aerial seeding, fertilizing and dusting crops such as rice, corn, soybeans, cotton, milo; mixes fertilizers according to prescribed formulas, loads seed, fertilizers onto airplane, pours and pumps materials and seeds into fed hopper of airplane; drives fertilizer truck and operates lift; drives pickup to obtain parts and supplies; performs repairs, cleaning and maintenance of equipment and worksite. Bending, stooping and kneeling required. Use power equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, tractors, mowers, high lifts, fork lifts, skid loaders. Must operate agricultural equipment safely, with or without direction. Workers may be required to work some nights.
Operating large farm tractors and equipment as well as operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs is dangerous. Operator manuals for the equipment have label warnings Do Not Operate Under the Influence of Drugs. Work Comp Insurance as well as vehicle insurance companies require safety compliance. Poor judgment, improper driving, etc. can result in serious and fatal accidents. Employer has a strict policy prohibiting drug use. Employer-paid post-hire random, upon suspicion, and post-accident drug testing required.
Clean driving record required. Must have or be able to obtain driver\'s license within 30 days following hire. Workers with appropriate licenses and a valid doctor\'s certificate may be asked to drive other workers in pick-up trucks only.
Work is done in the field for long periods of time. Workers may assist in handling product weighing up to 75 pounds and lifting to a height of 5 feet. Workers must work on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time. Work requires repetitive movements and extensive walking. Work required in fields when plants are wet with dew and rain, and may be required during light rain, snow, moderate winds, direct sun, high humidity and extreme temperatures. Temperatures in fields during working hours can range from 10 to over 100 degrees F. Workers may be required to work during occasional showers not severe enough to stop field operations. Allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, honey bees, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, or related chemicals may affect a worker\'s ability to perform the job. Workers should be able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodations.
Persons seeking employment in this position must be available for the entire period requested by the employer. Employer attests that it has sent (or will promptly send) original surety bond to CNPC. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on a worker\'s Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any change to start time. Workers will have an unpaid lunch break.
TERMINATION. Prior to any termination for cause, employer evaluates workers\' performance of required tasks and compliance with Work Rules and other employer policies.
