Responsibilities Teach martial arts in a nationally recognized style following all safety, and belt promotion standards to student ages 4 to 18yrs. Be able to adjust age- appropriate classroom activities to meet the needs of the students. Manage a class of 8 or more students Be responsible for and complete documentation daily to include but not exclusive to attendance, parent communication/ call logs. Communicate with management daily, following guidance and training requirements. Know what materials are necessary to for students to have and have written lessons plans for classes. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate. 2. Be able to communicate in English (both written and verbal). 3. Be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. 4. Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop and stand on a routine basis. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors. 5. Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease. 6. Demonstrated skill/evidence of competence in instructional area of Martial Arts. Preferred are those candidates who possess a Professional Certificates/Credentials; or Associates Degree or higher with 15 semester hours of college credit in the area of instruction. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
