Confidential Filler Operator in Hudson, Ohio

OhioMeansJobs Summit County and a local rubber manufacturer are partnering to find a Filler Operator We specialize in mixing clean and consistent color rubber{rel="nofollow"} and black rubber{rel="nofollow"} compounds, developing polymer formulas{rel="nofollow"}, and providing lab testing{rel="nofollow"} for companies throughout the rubber industry. Our industry leading chemists and technical team have the knowledge to help improve the quality and performance of your rubber product. Therefore, we can reduce scrap rates, and lower cost while maintaining predictable and consistent physical properties. Duties:

  • Understand schedule and know where weigh outs need to be staged for upcoming mix
  • Make sure you review your specification and know what is on it, including correct production number
  • Pull materials with the correct code
  • Weigh materials to specification within tolerances
  • Properly ID the weigh out container after the first batch is weighed.
  • Keep an accurate weigh out log showing what batches you weighed, proper production number, and accurate weigh out times.
  • Label all remaining partial bags with code and product name. Partial bags need to be covered to protect the material from contamination and put in the proper place.
  • Communicate with incoming weigh out persons to discuss where in the schedule you are, and issues foreseen through the outgoing weigh out persons day.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the back parking lot. This includes all scrap cardboard, skids, and emptied drums emptied drums which need to be removed from the building and placed in the appropriate trailer, bin, or rack for staging until picked up.
  • Skid trailers, cardboard bins, and emptied drums must be called in when full. The shipper/receiver is responsible for calling in to change out full trailers/bins.
  • You must communicate the needs with the shipper/receiver to arrange an exchange.
  • Confirm incoming carbon black truckloads while unloading at the dock. Spray paint the material ID and date received on each skid while practicing a FIFO inventory system.
  • All incoming truckload paperwork must be brought to the shipping area after confirmation.
  • Lot traceability of materials weighed need to be filled out completely if applicable.

Qualifications: No Experience required: Training will be provided Salary: $17-$18/hr. based on experience 401k, Dental, Health Insurance, Paid Holidays, Vacation
