As an electro mechanical technician, the Maintenance Tech insures optimal manufacturing equipment operations and preventive maintenance. This role applies knowledge of electrical theory and principles, hydraulics, welding, AC/DC overhead crane repair and safety standards.

What you'll need:

• HS diploma or GED

• 1-year manufacturing maintenance experience or trade school degree

• Ability to lift 50 pounds

• Bend, stand, for extended periods and withstand exposure to heat and cold.

• Able to climb in overhead structures, work beneath machines and in close quarters

• PLC experience preferred

• Ability to read schematics, and understand circuits is mandatory

• Familiar with AC/DC power and drives

• Knowledgeable with Lockout/ Tag Out

• 1 year of high voltage experience, up to 138KV (preferred)

• Knowledge of hydraulics

• Willing to be part of a winning team and able to work all shifts, flexible hours and mandatory overtime.

What you'll do:

• Analyzes circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, repair or service electronic devices and systems.

• Receives wiring diagrams, specifications, and instructions from supervisor covering emergency and scheduled repairs, installation and electrical inspection work to be performed.

• Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, properties of materials and principles.

• Perform PM as required.

• Fabricates parts if not commercially available.

• Repairs overhead cranes and control boxes for remote cranes.

• Services electronic equipment by checking, testing and replacing faulty components, circuits, printed circuit boards, and similar electronic devices.

• Notifies supervisor of potentially dangerous electrical equipment noted and corrective action is taken.

• Adheres to housekeeping and safety standards, including the required use of personal protective equipment.

• Welds/burns as required.
