How Will You Make an Impact?

The MSD Taiwan commercial leader will play a pivotal role in driving bookings/revenue growth and strengthening customer relationships with the goal of delivering an outstanding experience and customer success maximising our differentiated capabilities. You will take charge of leading and nurturing a successful sales team, implementing and completing strategic sales plans for the local market, and ensuring the successful delivery of our advanced solutions to customers. MSD Sales leader will be responsible for the commercial success of our products in semiconductor, life science and materials science businesses.

The successful candidate will make a difference in the following key areas:

Commercial Leadership:

  • Achieve bookings and revenue goals consistent with annual and quarterly plans across all segments

  • Develop and implement long-term strategic sales plans

  • Drive sales execution, including pipeline management, opportunity qualification, and deal closure

  • Create a culture of breakthrough thinking that drives out of the box growth initiatives

  • Expand and enhance our Taiwan based international strategic growth initiatives by partnering with local leadership and ensuring a consistent customer experience

  • Develop positive relationships with KOLs and C-Suite executives of key customers like TSMC to establish the company as a key strategic partner for expansion and innovation

  • Identify and act on opportunities for new business, customer experience improvement and large deals through these connections.

  • Identify and take advantage of emerging technical gaps, trends, and opportunities; Proactively identify, advance, and resolve customer issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Coordinate with BU leadership, Product Management, Sales Development, and Commercial Management to develop and drive growth initiatives and campaigns

  • With matrix responsibility for the service organization, the successful leader will use service as a key differentiator in customer experience

  • Analyze and drive opportunities to improve commercial performance and sales force effectiveness

  • Leverage technology and tools to drive funnel management, forecast accuracy and risk mitigation

  • Lead other contractual processes including Confidentiality agreements, Preferred provider / Master Services agreements / pricing agreements

  • Monitor market intelligence including competition, macroeconomics and the regulatory environment

  • Secure control of operational expenses in line with targets and guidelines provided.

Team Leadership

Build, lead, and mentor a hard-working sales team, providing guidance, mentoring, and motivation

Recruit, hire, and develop top sales talent to build a world-class sales organization that will scale to deliver on the immense potential in the local market

Set ambitious sales targets and supervise progress to ensure achievement of bookings and revenue goals

Collaborate with other regionally based Sales team members to improve our success in cross regional projects

Collaborate with the sales team member from different business unit and divisions on cross-divisional sales opportunities

Responsible for the engagement, development and retention of talent

Talent Development for Growth

Act as an attractor, curator and developer of internal and external talent to fuel our STRAP goals for the region

Be an innovator and lead the team to growth through organic and breakthrough business opportunities

Develop roadmap of abilities and skills required for the future of business growth

Develop pipeline of successors both internal and external for business continuity

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent execution skills with proven ability to drive results

  • Extensive experience in developing, proposing, and negotiating effective business agreements, including sales agreements and contracts.

  • Strategic ability to drive organizational scaling and growth aligned with company vision and strategy. Exceptional commercial and business understanding

  • Executive presence, high EQ, and the ability to lead and communicate with internal and customer organizations (from individual contributor to CXX)

  • Demonstrable understanding of effective strategies and global team leadership when managing customer projects ranging from $1M to $100M+ 10+ years successful history of high value capital equipment, available experience, and network in Semiconductor Industry.

  • Experience in driving successful sales growth in Life Science and Materials Science is desired. Deep understanding of semiconductor technology and industry trends.

  • Experience in solution and value selling. Capability to tie independent product offerings into an integrated solution sale that offers the highest value proposition to the customer.

  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a solid foundation in financial skills used in a selling environment.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 50%

  • Advanced degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred ​
