About the role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic HR Director to lead our HR and TA team in India. You will be responsible for providing general HR support to leaders and employees in both countries as the company goes through a period of change. You will also work on global projects and initiatives that align with our strategic goals and values.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that support the business objectives and culture of Alight

  • Manage and coach a team of HR and TA professionals across India

  • Partner with leaders and managers to provide guidance and solutions on employee relations, performance management, talent development, compensation and benefits, and diversity and inclusion

  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives and foster a positive and collaborative work environment

  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process and ensure a high-quality candidate and employee experience

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations and maintain accurate and updated HR records and reports

  • Represent Alight in external forums and networks and build strong relationships with key stakeholders

  • Participate in global HR projects and programs and contribute to best practices and innovation

Qualifications and skills

  • A bachelor's degree in HR, business administration or related field

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multinational company

  • A proven track record of leading and developing HR teams in a fast-paced and complex environment

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and trends in India

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Ability to work effectively with senior leaders and diverse stakeholders

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to Gurgaon and other locations across India as required
