We are looking for a new addition to our Operations Software team at RaySafe in Nya Hovås/Gothenburg with a Software Engineer for new development and maintenance of our production software.

The team

We are a small team of 6 people with both Swedish and international members. The team consists of software developers, test and verification, and business system analysis. The mix of competences in the same team is one of our strong sides and makes our day-to-day work interesting and makes problem solving fun. The team’s mission is to provide and support software solutions that are of high quality and easy to use for our global production sites including suppliers. We are always open for new challenges and work together with our users and process owners to find solutions that work for them. Our applications range from small to medium sized; desktop, console and web applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality production software

• Take responsibility for delivery and quality from pre-work to implementation

• Contribute with your knowledge to keep technology up-to-date

• Contact with both product owners and internal end users to understand the users’ needs and other requirements

• Day-to-day support of our production sites in both Sweden and the USA

The company

RaySafe develops and delivers industry-leading measurement equipment, mainly used in healthcare. Our company culture is focused on providing an environment where new ideas and solutions are encouraged. In our new facility in Nya Hovås, we are around 100 employees and have both R&D and Operations, enabling us to collaborate closely across departments. We also have frequent activities and social events that many choose to participate in. This role is an onsite position with the possibility of hybrid work in agreement with the team.

Experience

• Required

• 3-5 years higher education within software development or equivalent work experience

• Object oriented programming (preferably C# and .NET)

• Database setup and functions (preferably Microsoft SQL)

• Advantage

• Some years of work experience in software development

• Other programming languages and frameworks such as Python and React

• Experience within both desktop and web development

• Previous work experience that includes software support

• Data visualization and statistics (E.g. Power BI)

Personal Skills

• Eager to learn and enjoy problem solving

• Enjoy sharing your knowledge and solutions

• You feel comfortable working in a small team with a lot of freedom and responsibilities

• Able to derive requirements from wishes and take an active role in understanding the customer’s needs

• Enjoy a high variety of tasks

• Working proficiency in English is required, Swedish is an advantage

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 360,500.00 - 669,400.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
