Ultralife Corporation WAREHOUSE HAZMAT ASSOCIATE in Houston, Texas

The Hazmat Associate will perform Shipping, Receiving, Picking, Recycling and Cycle counting duties. Handle Essential functions listed below.

The Hazmat Associate will will work as part of a cross functional team to ensure conformance to Service Quality and Reliability.

Areas of Responsibility:

RECEIVING AREA:

  • Receiving incoming freight from a variety of freight carriers, confirming the number of

  • Packages received, their condition and signing for them.

  • Checking the contents of the packages against the supplier packing list.

  • Notifying the proper person when hot orders are received.

  • Receiving data entry into "Visual Manufacturing"

  • Reports all shortages to applicable departments.

  • Marking properly and placing incoming stock in the Carousel or on the shelves, in its proper location, rotating inventory, so that the oldest inventory is picked first (FIFO).

  • Processing customer RMA, Contact Service Department , "

  • Examines all incoming shipments, rejects damaged items for any damage.

  • Contact Procurement for any receiving issues.

    PICKING AREA:

  • Picking work orders produced by Production Planning

  • Picking process thru Visual Manufacturing.

  • Picking parts requested from other departments on "Adjustment form".

  • Working closely with Planning for work order picking.

  • Reporting any inventory discrepancies found when picking.Picking 2nd pick request in a timely manner

SHIPPING AREA:

  • Processing all related shipping paperwork.

  • Properly packaging and labeling material for shipping.

  • Contact CPA for shipping issues.

  • Contact Accounting for credit card order, cash in advance, COD order

  • Filling out any documents, i.e., waybills, etc., required by the freight carrier for shipping material.

  • Process RMA and NCM thru Visual Quality

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or 1 year warehouse experience

  • Extra consideration to candidates who are certified by Dangerous Goods in Air/Ground

  • Ability to operate forklift, pallet jacks and other related material handling equipment

  • Must have current Driver’s License, good driving record and Auto Insurance

Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
