The Opportunity:

CACI, Inc. is accepting applications for a Technician III to support the Contract for Organizing Spaceflight Mission Operations and Systems (COSMOS) contract. COSMOS specifies technical, managerial, and administrative work needed to ensure the availability, integrity, reliability, and security of the Flight Operations Directorate’s (FOD) Mission Systems supporting National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) space flight programs requiring mission operations support.

For this contract, “Mission Systems” is defined as the systems and subsystems of integrated hardware, software, networks, telecommunications, data, displays, and mockups used in the preparation for and performance of mission operations.

*Position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

  • The COSMOS Technician III is responsible for setting up, checking, and correcting operational and experimental machinery, circuitry, and equipment.

  • Follows pre- established guidelines, procedures, and engineering specifications.

  • Is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within engineering field.

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Performs a variety of tasks.

  • Performs highly skilled work at the advanced level.

  • May instruct, lead, and direct the work of others.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • High School Degree or equivalent

  • Possesses at least 8 years of relevant experience

Desired:

  • Prior experience supporting NASA programs

  • Experience supporting and/or leading large and complex programs

  • Technically competent

  • Self-motivated

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently

  • Effective, professional interpersonal skills

  • Strong team player

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$48,300 - 96,600 USD
