VCA Spring Branch Animal Hospital is seeking Technician Assistants to join our team.

The successful candidate will share our passion for pets, including exotic pets, and commitment to delivering exceptional service to our loyal clientele and the highest quality care to their pets. Veterinary hospital experience preferred. Must be able to work rotating weekend and various shifts.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting Technicians and Veterinarians when necessary. Including retraining pets during exams and treatments.

• Cleaning cages.

• Feeding and caring for hospitalized patients as directed by Veterinarian or Technician.

• Customer service functions, including greeting visitors, and guiding clients and their cats to exam rooms.

• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, nutrition, and flea & tick control).

• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.

• Assist with radiographs.

• Cleaning and preparing surgery equipment and packets.

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
