Our client, a leader in automation and control systems, is seeking a Systems Design Engineer to join their team. As a Systems Design Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic engineering department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Systems Design Engineer

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Range: $55.00-65.00 per hour

What's the Job?

• Perform system engineering for automation process control projects based on programmable controllers and instrumentation.

• Design, implement, and test control and automation systems in a project team environment.

• Analyze customer requirements to determine optimal process control system solutions.

• Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total systems, ensuring compliance with specifications.

• Provide technical assistance during project execution and contribute to project review meetings.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 5 years related experience in control systems engineering for industrial automation systems.

• Experience in electrical design, including schematics and panel layout; programming PLCs and HMIs.

• Ability to work overtime and travel occasionally to customer sites.

• Familiarity with process control fundamentals and knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
