JOB SUMMARY

Nabors is seeking QHSE Advisor you will support projects to meet the requirements of the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management systems. The role will also involve assisting the site teams and managers by recognizing hazards and seeking to minimize risks whilst creating, maintaining, and improving the health, safety, environmental and Quality standards. You will champion HSEQ initiatives in the workplace whilst ensuring that legislation is adhered to and achieve business objectives. Internship based in Houston, TX.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the provision of occupational health within the business, under the direction of the Sr. QHSE Manager and or QHSE Project Manager Support the communication and promotion of the monthly initiatives.

• Provide support to business units on HSE initiatives

• Provide support on HSE issues/problems Produce regional HSE statistics on a monthly basis, identify trends and take proactive initiatives.

• Contribute to general communications at a local level and produce create safety alerts following incidents to promote learning and prevention

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Health & Human Science- Kinesiology

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Effective project management skills (task identification, prioritization, and documentation)

• Health, safety, and environmental (HSE) advisors create safety policies, assess workplaces for potential dangers, and advise management on ways to lower risks and prevent accidents. As an HSE advisor, you ensure your company complies with all health and safety regulations. Your job duties also focus on environmental issues within the workplace that may affect employee and customer health and wellness.
