Job Description

A major utilites client of Insight Global's is looking for a Sourcing Specialist to join their procurement team. As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will manage the strategic category management for electric utility categories while being responsible for the integration of internal business unit initiatives, strategy, and business direction. This individual will lead and cultivate strategic partnerships with the business unit and vendors in order to create value by assessing business requirements, advancing business objectives and developing strategic plans for ongoing sourcing needs.

Skills and Requirements

* 4+ years of experience Sourcing Specialist/strategic sourcing experience in supply chain

* Experience in contract negotiation, redlining contracts, and vendor relations

* Experience evaluating bids and managing bids

* Experience with demand planning & analysis

* Experience with market analysis/market intelligence and related tools

* Experience managing Tender Packages (RFQs, RFIs, RFPs)

* High level SAP experience

* Professional communication capable of interfacing with CXOs and VPs * COUPA experience

* Track record for process improvement/efficiency and cost savings

* Utilities experience null
