Growth Private Equity firm is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas, specializing in fund accounting. This role is integral to our finance team, responsible for managing accounting tasks across multiple entities and funds, ensuring accurate financial tracking, reporting, and compliance. CPA Required!

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software to record and monitor financial transactions for multiple entities and funds.

• Oversee the general ledger, manage cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and reconcile intercompany/affiliate balances.

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

• Collaborate with the fund administrator to review and reconcile fund activities.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, identify and resolve discrepancies within established deadlines.

• Conduct financial analysis, including calculations for Net Asset Value (NAV), waterfalls, and capital calls.

• Recommend cost-control strategies based on detailed expense analysis.

• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports; support budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Provide support during internal and external audits, as well as tax preparation and compliance efforts.

• Ensure adherence to accounting regulations, policies, and internal controls.

• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

  Requirements

Staff Accountant Requirements:

• 2 years of experience with Public Accounting

• Experience in processing Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using NetSuite software for various accounting tasks

• Experience in Fund Accounting

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA Required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
