Position Description
This Sr. Accounting Administrator position reports to the AP FastPay supervisor and handles the daily processes for the FastPay e-payables program. This includes processing payment file batches, working with various Kinder Morgan teams to address FastPay-related inquiries, and managing internal and external requests.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Manage the daily RPA bot payment process and/or manually process the FastPay payment files
Manage the daily RPA bot invoice process and/or manually download and enter virtual card provider invoices into SAP Ariba for approval and payment
Make daily FastPay virtual credit card payments to enrolled vendors
Work closely with the FastPay vendor enrollment team to manage and resolve vendor enrollment issues and contribute to ongoing enrollment campaigns
Work closely with Vendor Maintenance on managing vendor profile information, including adding or updating remit locations, modifying payment methods, and managing vendor contact information
Work closely with the AP Houston team to resolve invoice processing issues
Work with vendors to resolve issues related to invoices paid by FastPay
Research and work with virtual card provider to resolve potential credit card fraud issues
Provide real-time FastPay-related customer service and support to vendors and Kinder Morgan employees by phone and email
Manage and monitor the FastPay mailbox and hotline
Meet month-end/year-end deadlines
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or any closely related discipline or 3 - 5 years of related experience
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Experience working with Microsoft Office Products and Lawson; knowledge of SAP Ariba platforms beneficial
Ability to follow Accounts Payable procedures and guidelines including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls
High level of detail skills used to troubleshoot issues, research and analyze data and provide timely resolution
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to maintain a high quality of work and work independently
Ability to adapt to changes as determined by upper management
Must be able to work well with a team, take direction from supervisor(s) and prioritize work schedule
Some overtime may be required during month-/year-end
